Both sites are in serious need of work. I’ll probably get some time to mess with them this weekend. xijio.com probably won’t change much (probably just style and maybe a few layout changes. marshallbjerke.info is where most of the effort will go. It is going to be a resume-type site because I’ll be job hunting starting pretty soon. I’ll post updates once the sites have been updated.
edit: I pretty much failed at accomplishing anything on this front this weekend.
I added a files section that just lists a bunch of random files (where I put random stuff online). It was previously (and still is) accessible at xijio.com/files. You can now browse the files in an iframe in the blog.
I’m really excited tht the iPhone is coming out today because maybe, just maybe, after toda I’ll stop seeing 50 referemces/day to it. I understand that it is a wonder of technology and it is really cool. I understand that it has its shortcomings. I understand its dataplans, features, price, service agreement and other details. I am just sick of all of my rss feeds and every blog post I read being cluttered with boring references to it.
Maybe today will be the last day. I doubt it though
I got thunderbird working with growl using this guide. It is a little complicated but I’ll summarize. First you need a thunderbird extension called yamb. You also need growlnotify installed, the installer puts it in /usr/local/bin (path didn’t exist so I created it). Then you use the shell script provided in the guide to interface between yamb and growlnotify. Works great 
I imported a large percentage of m old blog entries from blogger and livejournal. I can’t think of any other places where I have blog entries to import but that doesn’t matter. There is a lot of stuf in here now
Also I found a cool dashboard widget called WordPressDash that lets me blog straight from dashboard. I wonder if This works? (I doubt it).
edit: seems like wordpressdash has some CPU eating issues and I find myself killing dashboard processes most times after using it.
The internet at my house has been horrible lately. I can’t seem to figure out what is causing it but, many sites load extremely slowly. There isn’t any noticible packet loss from constant pings but the routing looks a little weird in a traceroute because the first hop is all *’s. I don’t know what is causing it. I’ve powercycled the router and modem.
A comcast tech is coming out on Saturday to fix it. Hopefully they take good care of it otherwise I’ll be a saaaaaaaaad panda.
Yeah! I watched Oden play in several games last season, especially during March Madness. I’m really glad the Blazers picked him up. I especially like that fact that he blogs! Hopefully he keeps that up once he is playing professionally.
Him and B. Roy should be a very good team next season hopefully giving the Blazers a solid shot at the post season!
My buddy Nathan will be starting a job at Lockhead Martin and because Lockhead has a huge defense contract, he needs a security clearance. Yesterday I got a call from Investigator Validez. I had to spill the beans to him about all of Nathan’s habits and general info. He wanted to meet in person but, I told him I’m 170 miles away from where his is so it probably wouldn’t be worth his time. He conducted the questioning over the phone. All went well as there was nothing bad to be told.
I ordered a new intake for my s10 on June 19th. It is from an ebay store called chrome intakes. I haven’t received it yet so I gave them a call today to find out they haven’t even shipped it. He told me they were out of stock and that they just came back in stock today. It would have been nice for them to have told me that in the first place. Oh well, I’ll replace my intake and filter when it gets here (it needs it bad too :p)
The wonderful thing about ebay is that I’ll still leave the people positive feedback at the risk of them leaving me negative feedback. Don’t sellers know they’re supposed to leave feedback as soon as they recieve payment? Grrrrr. Such a flawed system.
