Hooray, I love the Unreal Tournament series, used to play at LANs back in the day all of the time. Low Grav Facing Worlds Instagib CTF FTW. I played Gears of War at Ray’s LAN and it seemed really cool (although it takes some getting used to). I’m excited that these will both be Mac titles soon!
The Powershot S5 IS is on sale at Dell Home for $426.55 w/ free
shipping, which is already a good deal ($500 almost anywhere else).
I used some of my Amex reward points to get two $50 dell vouchers.
I used one on the Camera bringing it down to $376.55 + tax and one on the start kit bringing it to $9.99 + tax.
I also picked up a 4gb sandisk ultra II SD card from buydig.com so I’ll be able to rock and roll with video and images with plenty of storage.
I’m pretty excited. I’ll be sure to post pictures and videos and whatnot once I get the camera.

Just finished the second season of House. One more season left to watch and then I’ll have to wait for it to air in real time. I think I’ve decided to finish up the latest season of CSI (I only watched the first 6 or so eps this season) and then watch everything after Season 1 of Las Vegas. I might check out The Sopranos at Ray’s recommendation but, I’ve still got a lot on my plate before I get there.
Ugh. Just got some new headphones for my to use at work for my MBP. Unfortunately, the MBP has issues with the headphone jack. It has constant hissing when plugged in and muted and there are sound artifacts when sounds are played squeeks and beeps and such. Sometimes a tone will sound for multiple seconds, and then stop when another sound is played.

I’ll be going hiking this weekend to the Goat Rocks wilderness area north of Mt. Adams. I’m going with the Boy Scout troop and we’re leaving this afternoon. It should be a fun trip.
One thing I’m a little nervous about is driving down a long a dusty gravel road with the new high flow filter (high flow tends to let more air in and therefore more dust). I think it should be okay but, it still makes me a tad nervous.
I’m pretty ready for the hike, I think. It always ends up that we’re 25 miles out of town and I’m like “Oh shit, I forgot my bowl” or some other random thing. I think for the most part I’m pretty set though. I’m leaving HP around 2:40 to get to Frank’s house at 3:00. We plan on leaving from there at about 3:30. It’s a long trip (I think about 150 miles) so I’ll be driving for quite a while.
I’ll report back afterwards with any cools stories.
