Jim, Sam and I watched Tin Man a SciFi mini series that plays on the Wizard of Oz. It consists of three 90 minute episodes (excl. commercials) and was very entertaining. If you’re looking for a good (short) show to kill a couple of hours this holiday season I highly recommend it! I also just noticed there is an ‘encore presentation’ on December 24th which is exciting because the ending kind of left a few loose ends to tie up. I’m looking forward to it!

I had a tid bit of trouble in updating the Ruby on Rails install that comes with leopard to the latest version. I kept getting error messages like:

404 Not Found
Turns out the solution isn’t too painful:
sudo gem update --system
This will update the ruby gems package (to 0.9.5 at the time of this writing).
Then “gem install rails” works as expected.

Got it and so far it is awesome. I maxed out the graphics settings and had some fps lag issues so i bumped down the number of people in the crowd to normal and it works great. Looks good, plays smoothly, lots of fun! Seems like a pretty solid port! Now I just need to master the medium level so i can add that fifth fret.
All my stuff is due this week. Mixed blessing. Next week will be cake but, this week is hell.
